“I also want to pay tribute to the inspiring humanity of the Polish people. You have opened your hearts as much as your homes.”

    the prince added.

“Soldiers of the Polish Army and soldiers of the United Kingdom exercise together, building interoperability. They exercise side by side, strengthening Poland’s security, but also strengthening the security of the entire eastern flank of NATO,”

    said Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.

“It is a great distinction and honor for me. I am proud that in the presence of the Prince of Wales, His Royal Highness, I can thank British soldiers and Polish soldiers for their joint service on Polish soil. I am especially grateful for the presence of British soldiers right here in the Podkarpackie and Lubelskie Voivodeships – the voivodeships that directly border Ukraine. When Russia invaded Ukraine, when we were accepting millions of refugees from Ukraine, Polish services were supported by British soldiers. We are extremely grateful for this fact.”

    he added.

Today, the prince will meet the Polish President Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
