European Commission Accused of Attempting to Bribe X: Shocking News from Elon Musk

Elon Musk has publicly accused the European Commission of attempting to broker an illegal and secretive agreement with his social media platform, X. The controversy arose after Margrethe Vestager, Vice President of the European Commission, announced that X violated the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA) on several critical points.

Vestager highlighted that X allegedly misleads users, fails to maintain a proper advertising repository, and restricts researchers’ access to its data. “In our view X doesn’t comply with the DSA in key transparency areas. It misleads users, fails to provide adequate ad repository and blocks access to data for researchers. It’s the first time we issue preliminary findings under the Digital Services Act.,” she stated.

Musk responded to these allegations with a shocking revelation, claiming that the European Commission had proposed an illegal arrangement. According to Musk, the Commission suggested that if X silently implemented censorship without informing its users, they would avoid penalties. Musk also alleged that other platforms had accepted similar deals.

“The European Commission offered 𝕏 an illegal secret deal: if we quietly censored speech without telling anyone, they would not fine us. The other platforms accepted that deal. 𝕏 did not,” Musk wrote in his post.

This disclosure has sparked significant debate and raised questions about the integrity of the European Commission’s enforcement of digital regulations.
