Korean and Polish Arms Collaboration on the Production of Tanks and Howitzers

On Friday, the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) announced that it had inked an agreement to collaborate in the production of South Korean K2 tanks and K9 howitzers.

The Polish Defence Ministry sealed a deal in July to purchase 672 K9 units and 1,000 K2 tanks from their respective Korean manufacturers, Hanwha Aerospace and Hyundai Rotem Company, as an offset of the original purchase.

Spokespeople from the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) have announced that the Military Motor Plant in Poznań will be where the tanks are manufactured, and the Stalowa Wola Steelworks (HSW) in south-eastern Poland will be producing the howitzers.
