    Man Suspected of Shooting Two Policemen Apprehended in Wrocław

    A man suspected of shooting two policemen has been apprehended, according to the police. Maksymilian F., found with a weapon in his possession, is now facing charges of attempting to murder law enforcement officers, with a potential penalty of lifelong imprisonment.

    The arrest was made by police officers from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, who noticed the suspect and pursued him. Despite attempting to flee, the man was overpowered by the officers and is currently in police custody, as announced during a press conference.

    The incident occurred around 10:42 PM on Sudecka Street 90 in Wrocław, with an eyewitness recounting the sound of gunshots. A man emerged from an unmarked police car parked on the street, and upon investigation, it was revealed that the officers in the vehicle were transporting a person wanted for a six-month prison sentence.

    The individual in question has been identified as 44-year-old Maksymilian F. The Chief of Police has set a reward of 100,000 PLN for assistance in his apprehension.

    Police representatives disclosed that the condition of the two officers shot in Wrocław is serious.

    “Both officers are alive, but their condition is directly threatening to their lives and health,” stated Lukasz Dutkowiak, the spokesperson for the Lower Silesian Police Headquarters.

    Authorities worked throughout the night securing evidence, and an extensive team of officers conducted a search for the suspect.

    “We were actively working on this case all night, collecting forensic evidence, and a broad group of officers simultaneously searched for this man,” the police stated during the press conference.

    The suspect is now in police custody, and it was reported that he was carrying a weapon at the time of his apprehension. The police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
