Poland’s Largest Satellite EagleEye Set for Launch Today

Poland’s most advanced satellite, EagleEye, will be launched into low Earth orbit by SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California today. This marks a significant milestone for Poland’s space industry.

A New Era for Polish Space Exploration

EagleEye, weighing 55 kg, is built on the HyperSat platform developed by Creotech Instruments. The satellite, equipped with a high-resolution optical telescope from Scanway, will capture detailed Earth images with a resolution of up to one meter per pixel. This mission underscores Poland’s growing capabilities in satellite design, production, and operation.

    Mission Details and Impact

After launch, EagleEye will maneuver to a very low Earth orbit (VLEO) at around 350 km altitude, where it will be tested for Earth imaging. Creotech Instruments will oversee the mission from Warsaw. The success of EagleEye positions Poland among the few European countries capable of creating such advanced satellite systems.
