Polish Catholics Protest in the Vatican for Priest’s Release

Polish Catholics in the Vatican protest for Father Olszewski’s release, seeking global awareness and solidarity.

Polish Catholics, including members of the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs, gathered in Vatican City during Sunday’s Angelus prayer to protest the imprisonment of Father Michał Olszewski. They held banners in Polish and Italian calling for his release, aiming to raise awareness of his case and reach Pope Francis.

The Case of Father Michał Olszewski

In late August, a Warsaw court extended Father Olszewski’s detention, despite a previous ruling for his release. The priest, along with two Ministry of Justice officials, is under investigation related to the Justice Fund. Polish patriots and religious groups have been vocal in their support, organizing numerous protests across the country.

    Global Attention to Polish Affairs

Mariusz Talarek, one of the event organizers, emphasized that the goal was to inform the world of the injustice occurring in Poland, without political motives. He noted that independent media are covering the situation closely, while many faithful turn to prayer and peaceful protest to show solidarity.
