Polish authorities have revoked the security clearance of Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, a prominent historian and co-creator of the insightful television series “Reset.” The series has shown former Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s administration and its ties with the Kremlin during his previous tenure.
The decision, announced on July 31, 2024, was delivered to Prof. Cenckiewicz by two officers from the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW). According to Cenckiewicz, the justification for the revocation included sensitive details from a 2020 medical interview, which he claims is an unprecedented and retaliatory action.
Cenckiewicz released a statement condemning the move as a political maneuver aimed at intimidating and discrediting him. “I view this decision as a repressive tool of political struggle and revenge intended to frighten me and undermine my reputation for revealing the truth about SKW’s cooperation with the FSB,” Cenckiewicz declared. He also called for support and prayers from patriots and people of goodwill.
This development follows the release of “Reset,” which exposed undisclosed relations between Tusk’s government and Russian intelligence services. Cenckiewicz remains defiant, vowing to challenge the decision through all available legal means.
