Viewers of the main news program of Polish Television, TVP illegally taken over by the government saw manipulated poll results regarding the upcoming local elections. In the program, they were shown material about the poll, but the station employees included a different question in the graphic attached to the material than the one answered.
The truth is that the participants of the poll answered the question of who they think will win the upcoming elections, and the graphic substituted the question for one about support for political parties. Experts point out that such manipulation violates citizens’ right to reliable information.
In turn, Telewizja Republika published recordings showing a reporter from the illegally taken-over TVP reporting in front of the camera that Saturday’s Free Poles Protest in front of the Constitutional Tribunal gathered a few thousand people, although there were ten times more.
