Strong Response to Council of Europe Letter: “Criminals Govern in Poland”

Politicians criticize Council of Europe letter, claiming it ridicules the legal world and highlights systemic flaws in Poland’s judiciary.

    Council of Europe’s Letter Criticized

Today, Sovereign Poland politicians held a conference addressing the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe’s (PACE) response to the Polish prosecutor’s inquiry into Marcin Romanowski’s arrest. They claimed the letter “ridicules the legal world of the Platform party.” Patryk Jaki, speaking outside the Ministry of Justice, asserted, “The letter from the Council of Europe clearly states: (Marcin Romanowski) has immunity, an element of the democratic Western world.”

    Politicians Condemn Actions

United Right politicians, including Patryk Jaki, Jacek Ozdoba, and Paweł Szrot, organized the conference in reaction to the PACE chairman’s letter to national prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk. “Criminals govern in Poland, destroying the rule of law at Germany’s behest. The letter confirms the limitless ridicule of the legal world of the Platform party,” MEP Patryk Jaki stated.

    Criticism of Judicial Actions

Zbigniew Ziobro’s associate argued that the new majority “lies to Poles daily,” prioritizing “revenge over citizen security.” Jacek Ozdoba called recent judicial actions against Romanowski “lawlessness,” suggesting a simple email to PACE would have confirmed Romanowski’s immunity. “Now they’ll probably order opinions on whether someone is a ballerina,” the newly minted Sovereign Right MEP sarcastically remarked.
