Tarczyński Criticizes Tusk: “A Dictator in the Making?”

MEP Dominik Tarczyński has accused Donald Tusk of practicing “gangster-style politics.” Speaking on Telewizja Republika, he alleged that Tusk disregards the separation of powers, aiming to position himself as a political “emperor” akin to historical dictators. According to Tarczyński, Tusk’s focus lies solely on consolidating power, ignoring democratic principles and the will of the people.

    Presidential Election Concerns

Tarczyński further speculated on possible manipulations surrounding Poland’s upcoming presidential elections. He suggested that the Civic Platform (PO) and its allies are preparing to contest the results if a United Right candidate wins. Referring to Speaker Szymon Hołownia’s comments about potential election disputes, Tarczyński warned this could open the door to a power shift resembling autocratic regimes in Belarus or Russia.

Tarczyński accused Tusk’s circle of preparing for a “forceful takeover of power,” pointing to incidents of alleged harassment and aggressive rhetoric in political debates. He claimed such actions exemplify a dangerous style of governance.

    Warning for the Future

Tarczyński concluded with a stark warning, asserting that Tusk’s approach undermines democratic integrity. “If he doesn’t change his ways and respect the will of the nation, history shows how such paths end,” he said.
