THE CPK AIRPORT – THE MOST IMPORTANT INVESTMENT IN POLAND’S HISTORY

Law and Justice paved the way for Poland to build a strategic airport for Poland, the EU, and NATO – the investment is so important it should transcend party politics.

    MPORTANCE FOR CEE

Building the Central Communication Port (CPK) will be a huge step forward for Poland’s economic and strategic interests and has been confirmed as being economically viable and profitable. The CPK will cement Poland’s role as the most important country in CEE carrying up to 60 million passengersWith Chopin Airport in Warsaw rapidly reaching capacity, a new transport hub in CEE would also help the EU to expand and bring further opportunities into the EU.

    STRENGTHEN NATO CAPABILITY

As Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine has shown, NATO needs to have airport and transport capacity on its Eastern flank. With the EU’s major air transport hubs being located in Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt, the little-known Rzeszow Airport has stepped in to meet the military needs of supporting Ukraine. When operational in 2028, the CPK airport and its related railway and road infrastructure across Poland will provide NATO with an enlarged capacity to react to future threats on its Eastern flank.

PiS Vice President and former Prime Minister said:

“Ambitious nations deserve great investments. The CPK is an example of a game-changing investment and, as such, it should be excluded from any political dispute. When PiS was in power, we made the building of the CPK a priority. I am proud that PiS has supported the development of CPK and that it will bring benefits to Poland’s economy in the future.”

“Poland is capable of building in these hugely important investments and by building them Poland can show that it is in the world’s top league regarding world-leading investments.”

“Poland must have its investments to help its development, be independent, and not rely on, among others, German airports and German ports.”

“The CPK is a key symbol of security for the next decades and must be built to improve security in the area.”

“Due to the clear benefits of the CPK, it should be beyond party politics. The CPK will connect Poland to the global economy and will connect Poland to the highest levels of cooperation with international partners.”
