“Zgoda” on Republika TV. Rachoń: We Are Uncovering Something Happening Right Before Our Eyes

Republika TV has launched the broadcast of the series “Zgoda,” which delves into the pro-Russian policies of Donald Tusk. Just before the premiere, Danuta Holecka hosted guests Tomasz Sakiewicz and Michał Rachoń. “Uncovering the history of Donald Tusk’s pro-Russian policies is a journey through recent history. I have always found this fascinating,” said Rachoń.

The first episode of the series by Michał Rachoń and Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz, titled “Zgoda,” has started airing on Republika TV. Before the episode, Danuta Holecka spoke with Tomasz Sakiewicz, the president of Republika, and Michał Rachoń, one of the series’ authors.

“Zgoda” on Republika TV. Why is it worth watching?

“It’s worth watching ‘Zgoda’ because the story Professor Cenckiewicz and I have begun to tell is still ongoing,” emphasized Michał Rachoń, co-author of the series. He explained that “Zgoda” continues the narrative, as only a small portion has been told so far.

Rachoń highlighted the extensive analytical work done by co-author Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz, who examined key Polish archives, including many that had been forgotten over the years. “A large part of these archives, these documents, were of no interest to anyone,” he added. He pointed out that “within these archives, messages are hidden for us.”

“Uncovering the history of Donald Tusk’s pro-Russian policies is a journey through modern history. I have always been fascinated by this. We are uncovering something that is happening right before our eyes,” Rachoń emphasized.

    Sakiewicz: Russia Never Left

Tomasz Sakiewicz stressed that the “other side” often baselessly accuses the right-wing camp of ties to Russia.

“But the truth is, Russia never left. Russia remained within state structures, services, and the media. Generally speaking, if we talk about building an independent Poland, we must reckon with this period ‘up to today,'” said the president of Republika TV.

There was also a question about whether Republika TV would face attacks for the “Zgoda” series. After all, the removal of “Reset” was the first decision made by Sienkiewicz’s appointees after taking over TVP. “The attacks are ongoing and have grown much larger. But we are harder to deal with, for various reasons,” Sakiewicz responded.
