On Wednesday, on the 9th of September, in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the Belarusian Oppositionist Leader Tsikhanouskaya will meet with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki – informed the Chief of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Michał Dworczyk.
Yesterday, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paweł Jabłoński was asked whether the visit of Tsikhanouskaya is true. He answered ‘I know that there are such plans. I think that details will be presented in a little bit’.
The information about the meeting in collaboration with the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and Foundation ‘Belarusian House’ was published on Prime Minister’s Facebook.
On Saturday afternoon, the Chief of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister confirmed, during the talk with the Polish Press Agency (PAP), that Prime Minister Morawiecki will meet with Tsikhanouskaya on Wednesday. ‘The meeting will be held in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister’ – said.
According to the official results of the presidential elections, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya got 10.1% of all votes. There have been protests in Belarus since 9th of August because Belarusians claim that the elections were falsified. Tsikhanouskaya currently resides in Lithuania.
