Sejm's Speaker: We will never hold back on spending on the family

The Speaker of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, during the presentation of #PolishDeal (#PolskiŁad), pointed out that in difficult times, such as a pandemic, we need a government that knows how to remedy the difficulties. “We have such a government, we have a plan, tools and a determined group of people who want to implement this plan,” she assessed. She added that the government of the United Right (Zjednoczona Prawica – ruling coalition) would never save on the family.

As she emphasized, this plan is the Polish Deal, which is a response to “the need for a better tomorrow that we are all waiting for”.

Witek also expressed her conviction that the opposition would criticize all the proposals presented under this program.

“We remember that from 2015, let’s recall what the attack on us and the 500plus program was, how it was mocked and said there was no money for it,” she pointed out.

As she added, the program worked very well and the families “know very well” what to spend the funds received from the state on.

According to the Speaker, the most anticipated plan, established in the Polish Deal, is the construction of new apartments.

“The famine for housing is widely known, especially among young married couples who start their life together. Introducing the possibility of a loan without own contribution is a huge facilitation in the purchase of a flat by a family or an individual,” said Witek.
