The station apologized but did not remove the tweet, “for the sake of clarity”, it explains.

“Sabotage, firearms, dynamite: words rarely associated with Jewish women living in Polish ghettos during the Holocaust,” broadcaster Deutsche Welle tweeted on Wednesday announcing an interview of the history of Jewish women’s resistance.
