    Noise reduction at the main production plant

    PKN Orlen announced a request for information addressed to potential contractors capable of implementing noise reduction solutions at the company’s main production plant in Płock.

    PKN Orlen has announced that within the framework of the published inquiry the company intends to examine the market for the implementation of noise reduction solutions at its production plant in Płock. “The subject of the inquiry is to obtain information on available technologies for noise reduction by non-physical methods, which may be implemented at the production plant in Płock,” the company announced in its announcement.

     

    PKN Orlen stressed in the published documentation that it is the leading entity in the energy segment in Central and Eastern Europe, and in Płock it owns the largest refinery in Poland together with an integrated petrochemical part of the plant, with the whole complex covering an area of about 800 ha on which there are about 60 production installations as well as two combined heat and power plants.

     

    At the same time, PKN Orlen pointed out that it has been carrying out many investments at its Płock plant and recently announced the commencement of the largest petrochemical project in Europe as part of the Company’s Petrochemical Development Program.

     

    In May, PKN Orlen announced the construction of an Olefins III complex at its production plant in Płock for ca. PLN 13.5bn, saying that it is the largest petrochemical investment in Europe. The new complex is expected to be built by 2024 as part of the ongoing Petrochemical Development Program and production launch is planned for 2025. Contracts connected with the investment were concluded by Płock with Korean company Hyundai Engineering and Spanish company Técnicas Reunidas.
