A letter of intent was signed in Katowice on the organization of the EuroSkills 2027

At the European Economic Congress (EEC) in Katowice, a letter of intent was signed regarding the organization of the EuroSkills industry skills competition in Poland in 2027.

The letter of intent was signed by the representatives of technical universities: Poznan University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and the Silesian University of Technology. The letter was also signed by the General Director of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE), Dr. Paweł Poszytek, who is also the Director of the National Agency Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps. The Foundation is the initiator of the letter, having previously worked to have Poland join the EuroSkills and WorldSkills competitions.

Dr. Poszytek noted that officially there are only two candidates left to organize EuroSkills 2027 – Poland and Germany. He also expressed the hope that Poland will manage to create such a program and organizational offer thanks to which the competition will be held in our country.

EuroSkills and WorldSkills are international, cyclical events that bring together young people up to the age of 23, meeting every two years alternating between European and World competitions. The competitions have been held for 70 years, with more than 85 countries participating; Poland joined this group four years ago.

Earlier, at the Economic Forum in Karpacz, the letter of intent was signed by the Managing Director of the Educational Foundation “Perspektywy” Dr. Bianka Siwińska, and the President of DMG Mori Poland Marek Osiński.

Katowice is currently hosting the 13th edition of the European Economic Congress (EEC), held at the International Congress Centre, in the vicinity of the Spodek Sports and Entertainment Arena. EEC is an important part of the public debate on the Polish and European economy.
