The spectacle “Good Lies” directed by Marcin Hycnar and performed by Spektaklove from Warsaw won the Grand Prix of the 25th National Festival of Comedy Talia in Tarnów. The jurors judged a total of eight performances from all over the country.
The jury consisting of Agata Duda-Gracz (chairperson), Jolanta Drużyńska, Edward Linde-Lubaszenko, Cezary Domagała indicated that the winning performance deserved a Talia statuette and a financial award of PLN 15,000 “for the workshop and taste, awakening laughter, not cackling, for respect and tolerance towards any otherness”.
The award for the acting team was awarded for an exquisite collective performance in the play “Rewizor” (Inspector) directed by Mikołaj Grabowski from the Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński Bagatela Theater in Krakow.
The award for acting and directing personality went to Piotr Sieklucki for the performance “Kazik, I was just kidding” from the Nowy Proxima Theater in Krakow. Award of the Association of Polish Stage Artists “Ale Aktor!” (What an actor!) Katarzyna Koziarz won for her role in the play “Circus Kafka”.
The festival is financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Commune of Tarnów, and the Ludwik Solski Theater in Tarnów.
