    “Children Need Real Heroes”

“Children need real heroes, not mythical characters, but our heroes,” emphasized Bogdan Grzenkowicz, chairman of the Gazeta Polska Club in Kobyłka, organizer of the knowledge competition about the Cursed Soldiers on the “Republika” TV.

The 8th International Historical Competition on Cursed Soldiers is an extremely valuable initiative that aims to promote the activities of the indomitable soldiers of the anti-communist underground in Poland. Bogdan Grzenkowicz, chairman of the Memory Committee of Captain Witold Pilecki and chairman of the Gazeta Polska Club in Kobyłka, talked about this initiative on “Republika” TV.

“The competition is aimed at students of primary schools, grades 0-3, grades 4-8, secondary schools, both in Poland and abroad, and a novelty: it is directed to prisoners in detention centers. Depending on the category and age of the participant, these are artworks, preparation of cards, designs of a series of postage stamps, poetry, films, but also a song dedicated to the Cursed Soldiers. In primary classes, it is the preparation of a poster, song, and film-related to Witold Pilecki’s report, where he described his stay in KL Auschwitz, in a German extermination camp,” Grzenkowicz mentioned.

“Children need real heroes, not mythical characters, but our heroes,” pointed out the organizer of the competition.
