12 pianists qualified for the finals of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, although the regulations allow the participation of 10. Among the finalists, there are two representatives of Poland – Jakub Kuszlik and Kamil Pacholec.
By the decision of the Jury of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, chaired by Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, as many as 12 pianists were qualified for the final.
The final auditions will run from Monday to Wednesday. The participants will play one of the concertos by Fryderyk Chopin in E minor, Op. 11, or in F minor, Op. 21.
The entire competition is broadcast by Channel Two of Polish Radio (Program Drugi Polskiego Radia) – from the ceremonial inauguration to the concert of the winners. The concerts are enriched with information, reports, and talks with experts. Channel Two also broadcasts archive recordings of competitions. Expert comments can also be heard on the Polish Radio Chopin, which is available on the Internet and in the digital DAB + system.

The 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition is held from 2 to 23 October.
