Impact'21: Poland is a very attractive place to invest in innovation

Participants of the panel “Innovation ecosystem: the perspective of international Venture Capital funds”, which took place at the Impact’21 conference, talked about how they found Poland, which fields of innovative solutions developed by Polish companies they consider as future ones, opportunities, and threats related to investments in domestic technology companies.

Despite the pandemic, or perhaps because of it, a truly civilizational change is taking place: from a country based on agriculture, extraction of raw materials, and small-scale services, Poland is becoming the most innovative place in the region.

According to Thomas Rubens of DN Capital, an international Venture Capital firm based in London, foreign entities investing in domestic technology companies are attracted to Poland by the wide range of solutions they implement, including machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Another field that impresses VC representatives is robotics, which is being developed in Poland not only in schools, by large technology corporations, but also by small and medium-sized enterprises.

Poland’s third advantage is its professional, excellently educated staff, who can successfully compete on foreign markets.
