Jan Błachowicz lost his championship belt at UFC 267 after a loss to Glover Teixeira. However, the Polish fighter announces that he does not intend to end his career and will try to regain the title.
The fight in Abu Dhabi was dictated by the contender from the start. The 42-year-old Glover Teixeira showed masterful form and deservedly won over Jan Błachowicz. In the first round, he took the Pole down, and in the second round after a powerful punch to the jaw, the Prince of Cieszyn’s legs gave way.
It wasn’t long before he found himself on the ground again, and the experienced Brazilian, known for his wrestling skills, set the Pole up perfectly and started choking him. Błachowicz found himself in a no-win situation and had to tap out.
“I don’t want to make excuses; he beat me and everyone saw it. It is what it is. But it’s not over yet. I’m not going to end my career; I just need to rest and think a bit. I’ll definitely be back. I’m not a coward and I won’t give up that easily. You’ll see me back in the octagon,”
– said Błachowicz after his fight with Teixeira.
