Cardiologist DSc Jan Biegus from the University Teaching Hospital in Wrocław was awarded the Prize of the Presidents of the Polish Society of Cardiology.
It is an award granted for an original scientific achievement or an innovative implementation solution in the field of clinical or experimental cardiology.
The jury honoured DSc Jan Biegus for the results of research in patients with heart failure in conjunction with the analysis of the functioning of their kidneys. The jury appreciated not only the original and innovative nature of the conducted research but also the impact of the obtained results on clinical practice.
DSc Jan Biegus is the deputy director for research at the Institute of Heart Diseases at the University Teaching Hospital in Wrocław. He graduated from the Medical Academy in Wrocław.
