The number of transactions made using contactless BLIK in the IKO application has exceeded one million. Every day – on business days – customers make about 30 thousand such transactions and their number is steadily growing.
“Contactless BLIK has been well received by PKO Bank Polski customers. It is most often used in Poland, of course, with domestic transactions accounting for over 99 percent of payments. However, abroad they made the most transactions in such countries as Germany, Ukraine, and the Netherlands. In total, they paid this way in almost 50 countries on different continents, including the Vatican, Georgia, Thailand, Oman, Seychelles, and Namibia,” says Paweł Placzke, Director of the Private Client Department at PKO BP.
According to the bank, contactless BLIK is most often used by customers who use PKO Konto za Zero, PKO Konto dla Młodych, and PKO Konto bez Granic (75 percent of transactions) and young people aged 13-18 who have PKO Konto Pierwsze.
