Today, Russian troops have attacked Ukraine, invading the country’s territory and shelling cities and strategic facilities from the air. This has created a black scenario that should be avoided through diplomatic channels. What is to be done now? Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Polska”, presented some solutions.
On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, Russian dictator – Vladimir Putin announced in a TV speech the beginning of a “special operation in Donbas.” According to information from the authorities and reports on social media, the Russian armed forces began shelling Ukrainian cities from other directions as well. The explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and Kharkiv, close to the Russian border.
The Russian army invades further Ukrainian circles and fiercely defends the Ukrainian army.
What should be done now? Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of “GP” and “GPC”, presented some solutions.
“First, stop all payments to Russia, secondly impose sanctions on those who do not, and thirdly supply all weapons that Ukrainians can benefit from,” said Sakiewicz.
“Then, set up blockades and hunt down all those responsible for the war. Finally – the last but not least step is condemnation and isolation of Putinophiles”, he added.
The West announced unprecedented sanctions against Russia due to Putin’s aggression against Ukraine.
