US film star Oprah Winfrey expressed in her video her feelings concerning Poles who met them at the border with open arms met Ukrainian refugees.
The war in Ukraine has been going on for more than two weeks. According to UNICEF, one million children have already left the country. Most of them went to Poland with their mothers.
More and more people around the world are trying to help the Ukrainians, who are even losing their homes due to the invasion of Vladimir Putin’s soldiers.
The biggest help was given to American TV star Oprah Winfrey.
“Did you hear how so many families across the border in Poland has now opened their homes to the immigrants from Ukraine?” – she asked in the video
She has also referred to the open-hearted attitude of Poles, who decided to do their best in helping war refugees,
“The deadly assault on the Ukrainians juxtaposed with this open-heartedness in the arms of the Polish people just reaching out, meeting them at the border has just had my heart in flux all week,” the actress said.
