It seems that telling the truth has become a punishable offence under Donald Tusk’s government. Instead of admitting past mistakes and focusing on strengthening Poland’s security, the new administration is going after those who dare to speak up. The latest target? Former Minister of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, exposed a shocking plan from the PO-PSL government that would have seen nearly half of Poland handed over to the enemy in the event of a Russian invasion. And now, instead of dealing with the implications of this revelation, the government wants to prosecute him.
The Scandalous “Warta-00101” Plan
The documents Błaszczak declassified, dating back to 2011, reveal an alarming strategy signed off by then-Defense Minister Bogdan Klich. The so-called “Warta-00101” plan proposed that, in the case of an attack, Polish forces would withdraw behind the Vistula River—leaving cities like Lublin, Rzeszów, and Łomża completely defenceless. Imagine the horror that could have unfolded! Błaszczak knew the people of Poland deserved to know the truth, and he took a stand. “I’d do it again without hesitation, and Bodnar’s people won’t scare me,” he declared.
Weaponizing the Justice System
Instead of taking responsibility for this disgraceful defence strategy, Tusk’s government is using the justice system to target its political opponents. Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar is pushing to strip Błaszczak of his parliamentary immunity, claiming he “abused his power” by declassifying the documents. But let’s be honest—this is not about legal technicalities. This is about silencing those who challenge the government’s narrative and keeping the Polish people in the dark.
Crackdown on Journalists and Free Speech
And it’s not just Błaszczak they’re after. Now, they’re coming for journalists, too. The creators of the documentary series Reset, Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz and journalist Michał Rachoń, who exposed PO-PSL’s disastrous foreign policy, could be next in line. This is a direct attack on free speech, an attempt to intimidate and control the media. If exposing the truth is now considered a crime, then what kind of country is Poland becoming?
