“There had been an emergency landing with President Duda. The plane returned to Warsaw,” said Jakub Kumoch, the Head of the Presidential Office for International Politics.
“We are currently on the verge of the departure of the replacement aircraft for Rzeszów,” Kumoch reported.
He added that the programme of the visit of the Polish and American presidents to Rzeszów would be slightly modified.
“After the arrival of President Andrzej Duda in Rzeszów, President Joe Biden will be welcomed,” he added.
US President Joe Biden will spend more than one night in Poland. He will be in Rzeszów and Warsaw, and the reason for his visit is the situation in Ukraine, where Russian aggression has been going on for a month. Joe Biden’s visit will be the fourteenth of the President-in-Office to our country.
After a few hours in Rzeszów, Joe Biden flies to Warsaw. On Saturday he will meet President Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw.
Joe Biden will also visit the National Stadium on Saturday, where he will learn about Poland’s support for Ukrainian refugees and the system for assigning PESEL numbers. The US President will be accompanied by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Warsaw President Rafał Trzaskowski, said Kumoch.
