If you see a convoy of military vehicles or groups of soldiers on the roads over the next few days, there is no cause for concern. Their presence is part of planned Polish Armed Forces exercises taking place in northeastern Poland. The military, however, has an important request for local residents.
The Operational Command of the Armed Forces announced that on July 13-14, designated units of the Polish Armed Forces will conduct scheduled training exercises in northeastern Poland. The drills are a routine part of military operations aimed at maintaining operational readiness and improving soldiers’ combat capabilities.
Military officials emphasized that exercises of this kind are a regular element of training. Residents may notice increased movement of troops and military equipment during this period, including on public roads. For that reason, the Armed Forces are urging motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution wherever military vehicles are operating.
The military also issued another important appeal, asking residents not to post photos, videos, or information on social media showing troop movements or military equipment.
According to the Operational Command, such material could be exploited for intelligence-gathering purposes or used in disinformation campaigns. In other words, a photo uploaded for a few likes could end up in the wrong hands.
“Together, let’s protect our shared security,” the Operational Command of the Armed Forces appealed.
