According to information from the SPIEGEL portal, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) has intercepted the Russian military’s radio messages confessing to the murder of civilians in Bucha. The material also shows that members of Russian mercenaries such as the “Wagner Group” were involved in the atrocities.
According to SPIEGEL information, the German secret service informed the competent parliamentary services in Berlin of its findings on Wednesday. “The wiretap videos obviously invalidate the Russian denials.”
“These are radio messages matching the bodies found along the main road. In a radio show, for example, a soldier would tell another that he and his colleagues had shot a person on a bicycle. The photo of a man with a bicycle went around the world,” we read on the portal.

In another radio message, the man says, “Interrogate the soldiers first and then shoot them.”
The material also shows that members of Russian mercenaries such as the “Wagner Group” were involved in the atrocities.
According to BND material, these were neither accidental actions nor the actions of individual soldiers who got out of control. They show that the soldiers spoke about the atrocities as if they were reporting on their daily lives – writes Der SPIEGEL.
After the withdrawal of Russian forces, a mass grave and dozens of civilians were discovered on the streets in Buča on the weekend. The hands of some of them were handcuffed, and on other bodies, there were traces of torture – the portal recalled on Thursday. The Russian government has firmly denied that the Russian armed forces are responsible for these war crimes.
