The accident occurred at the Zambrów East junction on the S8 Warszawa-Białystok. A 26-year-old man from Sokólskie County fell off the road and crashed into road barriers. He has died on the spot. The Zambrów police said they were looking for witnesses to the accident or for people who could provide information about the case.

It was reported that the Former President of the Supreme Court, Małgorzata Gersdorf, and her husband Bohdan Zdziennicki, the Former President of the Constitutional Court, were driving in the car that was driving right next to the motorcyclist.
“On the way to Augustów, where we arrived at 2 p.m., we visited some places with graves of relatives, at some point we noticed a piece of sheet metal or rubber, which we considered to be a demolished part of a truck passing by, and that was it,” Małgorzata Gersdorf told RMF FM. “Neither we nor our car was involved in any case,” she stressed.
“We learned from the Internet about the fact that we were on the way passing the place where the fatal accident occurred. It was after 5 p.m. when my husband was asked to make a statement by the police,” Professor Gersdorf has said.
Sakiewicz: First aid was necessary
“It should be stressed that there was no one else to help. This help was probably urgently needed at the time,” Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Polska” and “Gazeta Polska Codziennie”, commented for TVP Info.
He added that the first reaction should be to immediately stop and mark the path to call for help. In his opinion, from an ethical point of view, the situation is very difficult to judge.
“I think they knew the law. We are not talking about an accident, but an accident that immediately looks very serious and turns out to be fatal,” Sakiewicz added.
