Russian forces have begun the next phase of the war, resuming their offensive aimed at seizing the administrative regions of Donetsk and Lugansk in eastern Ukraine. Russian forces, numbering about 25,000, are trying to break through from Izumia towards Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, where they will aim to encircle Ukrainian troops.
