    Agata Fugat took the 1st place during this year's Art Festival ‘Conjugation’

    Agata Fugat, a conducting student from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, was the winner of the 5th edition of the ‘Conjugation’ art festival in Rawicz. In this edition, the participants presented their author’s songs.

    Art Festival ‘Conjugation’ is a nationwide competitive music festival. Any soloist or band presenting the author’s works may apply, regardless of the musical genre, the theme of the songs, or the age of the performers.

     

    • The event was accompanied by a unique exhibition “Musicians in Batik”. The paintings show portraits of outstanding personalities of the Polish music scene, incl. Zbigniew Wodecki, Wojciech Młynarski, Kora, or Mietek Szcześniak himself. (tvpkultura.tvp.pl)

     

    The jury included Jowita Augustyniak (teacher, choirmaster, voice emission instructor, speech therapist), Bogusław Sobczuk (announcer, actor, journalist, juror of prestigious vocal festivals ), Dariusz Taraszkiewicz (director, actor, musician, artistic director of the festival) and this year’s special guest – Mietek Szcześniak (outstanding singer, musician, composer, and songwriter).

     

    After a long deliberation, the jury awarded the following participants of the art festival:

    1st place – Agata Fugat,

    2nd place – ‘Warm Afternoon’ (Ciepłe popołudnie) Aleksandra Dzierżawska

    3rd place – Mikołaj Kłosiewicz ex aequo “Amazing Case” (Niesamowita Sprawa)

    distinctions: Kacper Siekirka with his band and the band ‘A few Tenderness’ (Kilka Czułości)

    award of the artictic director – Bogusław Kucharczyk-Włodarek

     

    Also, the laureates were honoured to sing together with Mietek Szcześniak on stage during his performance.
