The world is reacting to the scandal caused by the controversial actions of Magdalena Sroka’s commission, which, with police assistance, attempted to detain former Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro. “This is just the latest act of political policing ordered by Donald Tusk against his opponents,” read one of the many comments on the incident.
Since early morning, Polish police sought to detain Ziobro to bring him before Sroka’s parliamentary commission investigating the use of Pegasus spyware. At the time, Ziobro was giving an interview on TV Republika when officers arrived at the headquarters of the Free Speech Zone. The politician voluntarily approached the police and was escorted to the commission’s location, only to find that the commission members had fled the hearing. Instead, they hastily passed a resolution requesting a 30-day detention order against him.
The incident has sparked widespread commentary, both domestically and internationally.
International Reactions: “Communism, Political Persecution”
Jack Posobiec, an American commentator, reacted by simply posting “COMMUNISM” on X.com in response to reports by TV Republika’s program director, Michał Rachoń.
Romanian politician George Simion strongly condemned the police action:
“I strongly condemn the way in which the Polish police acted earlier today to detain @ZiobroPL.
Former Justice 🇵🇱minister was live at @RepublikaTV when the police raided.
Just the latest political police act ordered by @donaldtusk against his opponents.
Political persecution!”
British commentator Tommy Robinson also weighed in, stating on his profile:
“Globalist puppet Tusk is trying to force Poland back into communism. He needs to go!”
Romanian journalist Iosefina Pscal called the situation “unbelievable,” adding:
“Tusk is the male version of Ursula [von der Leyen].”
Meanwhile, the U.S.-based organization Republicans for National Renewal issued a statement condemning the event:
“We totally condemn this violation by the liberal, Biden-backed Polish regime against patriotic conservatives in Poland.”
They further warned:
“The United States should condition its extensive assistance to Poland on respect for the pro-Trump opposition.”
The controversy surrounding Ziobro’s detention is intensifying, drawing strong criticism from conservative voices worldwide, who see it as a politically motivated crackdown orchestrated by Poland’s ruling government.
