This year’s edition of Pride of Poland and Summer Sale is over. The buyers from all over the world had a unique opportunity to find the horse of their dreams among mares and stallions offered for sale. Eventually, 14 selected purebred Arabian horses, including national and international show stars, proven broodmares, and valuable stallions were sold. The total amount of EUR 1.6 million was collected, and the highest price of EUR 400 thousand at the auction was achieved by the Polish mare Esmeraldia from the stud in Michałów.
The first auction in Janów Podlaski was held in 1970. Since 2001, it has been called the Pride of Poland. It offers the best horses from the state studs in Janów Podlaski, Michałów, and Białka, as well as those from private studs. Everyone can find something for themselves in the carefully prepared offer – from young horses at the beginning of their show career, through distinguished broodmares to titled champions.
Polish horses are lines with a rich pedigree and history. This year’s event included many interesting horses, for example, Poganinka, Euzona, Emandilla or Atakama, mothers of champions Eulerta, Esmeraldia, Etiffani, and breeding studs Chimeryk and Kabsztad. The auctions of 20 horses lasted over 5 hours and the total amount of EUR 1.6 million was collected.
Esmeraldia from the stud in Michałów was sold for EUR 400 thousand. She is a daughter of two World Champions – the stallion Qr Marc (gold) and Emandoria (platinum).
