Germany is committed to preserving the memory of the crimes committed by Germans during the Second World War, the German ambassador said on Thursday.
On Thursday, the 83rd anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two, Thomas Bagger wrote on Twitter that Germany acknowledged its historical responsibility for the war “without any ‘buts’.”
In his post, marked with the hashtags #neveragain and #weremember, he added that he bowed his head before all the victims of Germany’s attack on Poland.
W hołdzie ofiarom zbrodniczej okupacji niemieckiej w Polsce: niech odpoczywają w pokoju i niech będą dla nas przestrogą. Pracujmy na rzecz dobrego sąsiedztwa Polaków i Niemców! #nigdywiecej #pamietamy pic.twitter.com/ENTjJZQHBr
