Britain’s longest-serving monarch has died at the age of 96. Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral Castle on Thursday after a historic 70-year reign. Britain is now set to enter 10 days of official mourning.
“We bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth II. She devotedly served her nation throughout her life. And she has served us by her example as a self-sacrificing, wise and prudent leader who knew how to lead her country through any storm,” Prime Minister Morawiecki wrote on Twitter.

President Andrzej Duda also commented on Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
