    Polish renovation

The Polish prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, has announced the creation of a special Thermo-modernisation and Renovation Fund, the goal of which will be a thorough modernisation of heating systems in buildings made from prefabricated concrete. It is estimated that over 12 million Poles live in this type of building.

“We’re expanding the already huge project of thermo-modernisation. This means many renovations will have to be done, so we’re renovating Poland both figuratively and literally. The lack of properly heated living blocs equals higher expenditure on electricity and on heating, thus harming the environment. (FLASH) I would also like to address the issue of air pollution. 44% of our society is affected by it. We managed to bring down the concentration of toxic substances in the air from 300 micrograms per cubic metre to 150. Let me remind you, that our predecessors in 2012 raised it from 200 to 300. We’re lowering it from 300 to 150, and we’re aiming for 80, because we can’t avoid to shy away from this important subject”- says Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland.
