    Polish pensioners will receive financial support

    The government of Mateusz Morawiecki cares for retirees as part of intergenerational solidarity – the head of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg emphasized on Tuesday at a press conference in Warsaw. The minister indicated the valorisation of pensions and the payment of the 13th pension.

    Minister Maląg reminded that last week President Andrzej Duda signed an amendment to the law on pensions from the Social Insurance Fund. This means that, from March, retirement and disability pensions will increase by the statutory indexation index, however by no less than PLN 70 gross. The lowest benefits will increase to PLN 1,200 gross. She added that in the near future the act on additional annual benefit for pensioners should be signed. This benefit is the 13th pension.”It has already been processed by the Sejm, the Senate, and returned to the Sejm. We have defended this law, so the 13th pension will be paid in April. The benefit will be received by 9 million 800 thousand entitled” she said. She went on to add that the cost of paying the 13th pension this year is about PLN 12 billion.
