“We have started the construction of military assets warehouses intended for a brigade combat group of the U.S. Armed Forces; the investment will be completed in April 2024,” Mariusz Blaszczak, the head of the Ministry of Defense, announced in Powidz, Wielkopolska. “We are sending a clear message that if there is a need, both Poland and the United States are ready to respond to any threat together,” U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski said.
In Powidz, Minister Blaszczak signed the foundation act for the construction of military assets warehouses. The new infrastructure will enable the rapid development of additional combat capabilities in Central and Eastern Europe.

“Today we symbolically started the investment, which is already prepared. It will be completed in April 2024, and consists of creating a warehouse of combat assets intended for the brigade combat group of the Armed Forces of the United States,” Blaszczak added during a press briefing.
“Thanks to these facilities, USA and allied troops will be able to be quickly equipped with the necessary equipment, and in emergency, they will be able to support Polish Armed Forces. I can assure you that we will develop the Polish Army and cooperation with allies,” Minister Błaszczak said.

As part of the investment, 56 ECM (Earth Covered Magazines) warehouses will be built along with administrative and service buildings. 5 warehouses will be designated for the Polish side, and 51 warehouses for the American side.
U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski emphasized that throughout history, Poles and Americans have fought side by side for shared freedom.
“Today, Poland and the United States share the same freedom, and we will certainly fight together for that same freedom,” he assured.
“We are sending a clear message that, if there is a need, both Poland and the United States are ready to respond to any threat together. We are united, we are together, and certainly, this message is very well heard and understood in Russia, which unprovoked and in no way the unjustified war in Ukraine has led to the return of an atmosphere of unrest and violence in Europe,” he added.
