Putin cuts Ukrainians off from the world. Social media “incite violence”

The occupation authorities in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in southern Ukraine, have blocked the social networks of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and slowed down the Google search engine, Ukrainska Pravda writes, citing Russian government media.

The occupation authorities cited as justification that the services “block reliable information and the renewal of life in the region,” and supposedly “incite violence.” The Zaporizhzhia Oblast is partly controlled by Russian troops.

Ukrainska Pravda recalls that in recent days the separatist authorities of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbass have blocked access to the Google search engine. According to the Russian-controlled and sponsored separatists, Google “promotes terrorism and violence against all Russians and especially the residents of Donbass.”
