VI Congress of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs of Western Europe in Rome

The congress of the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs of Western Europe in Rome is underway. The meeting brought together club members from Europe, including Rome, Geneva, Glasgow, Paris, Germany, and many other cities.

Yesterday’s gathering began with a mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in front of the tomb of St. John Paul II, during which the sermon was given by Fr. Joseph Slazyk.

“We ask St. John Paul II that the values of Bóg – Honor – Ojczyzna (English: God – Honour – Homeland) come first – in our hearts and our families,” Fr. Jozef Slazyk said yesterday during a homily at the mass at the VI Congress of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs of Western Europe. The mass took place at the tomb of the Polish Pope in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

Saturday is the second day of the Congress of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs in the Italian capital. It was today that a journalist panel was held, featuring journalists (and not only) from the media of the Strefa Wolnego Słowa (English: Free Speech Zone). There are editor-in-chief Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor Piotr Lisiewicz, editor Adrian Stankowski, editor Magdalena Łysiak and editor Tomasz Łysiak. The journalists were accompanied by Prof. Piotr Grochmalski during this part of the meeting with club members.

“It can be said that we have created something with a large reach, but the pearl in our crown is precisely the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs. Only we have something of this type (…) After the 2015 elections when PO (Civic Coalition -eds.) was experiencing its defeat, Schetyna said that their biggest mistake was that they didn’t create a movement like the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs,”

TOMASZ SAKIEWICZ, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF “GAZETA POLSKA” AND “GAZETA POLSKA CODZIENNIE,” SAID DURING A JOURNALISTIC PANEL AT THE VI CONGRESS OF “GAZETA POLSKA” CLUBS OF WESTERN EUROPE IN ROME.

Club members of “Gazeta Polska” met in the Italian capital!
