    ‘EO’ by legendary Polish film director Jerzy Skolimowski received an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film

    Academy Awards, popularly known as “Oscar” — the award of the American Academy of cinema — is the most famous and prestigious award in film making industry, both domestic and international, awarded since 1929. On Tuesday, January 24, the list of nominees was announced. The film ‘EO’, directed by legendary Polish film director Jerzy Skolimowski received an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film. This is the first Oscar nomination in his career.

    ‘EO’ by legendary Polish film director Jerzy Skolimowski received an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film on Tuesday. At last year’s Cannes Film Festival, Jerzy Skolimowski’s ‘EO’ won the jury’s award. The movie loosely references Robert Bresson’s 1966 flm ‘Au Hazard Balthazar!

    The results will be known on Sunday, March 12.
