One of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century will have two concerts in Poland. Skillet will perform in Warsaw and Gliwice in April this year!
Skillet is one of the most famous rock bands of this century. The group’s discography includes albums covered with gold, single and double platinum. The albums have sold a total of more than 12 million copies worldwide to date.
In addition to conquering many billboard listings, Skillet’s work has been used by the WWE, Marvel, ESPN, MLB, NHL, and NFL, among others. On their eleventh album in the works, “Dominion,” the group argues for their notion of rebellion.
“It’s the best way to describe this album because the record has attitude to it, but it’s positive,” Cooper tells Billboard of the Jan. 14 Atlantic release. “It is rebellious because we’re in a spiritual battle every day against depression and anxiety and fear. People are absolutely terrified. Depression rates are going up. America has like an increase in suicides… Positive rebellion [says]: I will not be ruled by fear. I will not be ruled by addiction and by all of these internal forces that really want to take control of my life. It’s saying, ‘I will not be ruled by these negative things.’” (billboard.com)
On February 17, the Deluxe Edition of “Dominion: Day of Destiny” will be released. It will include 5 extra songs, one of which is “Finish Line” featuring Adam Gontier from Saint Asonia.
By the end of April, the band will be playing two shows in Poland (Warsaw and Gliwice). Skillet will be accompanied by Like A Storm (the New Zealand hard rock group that put out their fourth record “Okura” in the last year) and Eva Under Fire (a band blending together rock, metal and pop).
Skillet is an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1996. The band consists of husband John Cooper (lead vocals, bass) and wife Korey Cooper (rhythm guitar, keyboards, backing vocals) along with Jen Ledger (drums, vocals) and Seth Morrison (lead guitar).
