The Polish mixed relay team of Nicola Mazur, Kamila Stormowska, Michal Niewinski, and Lukasz Kuczynski won bronze medals at the World Cup in a short track in Dordrecht.

In December of last year, the Poles earned a World Cup medal in Almaty, which came as a tremendous surprise. This success was achieved through hard work and a bit of luck.

In Dordrecht, the Polish team put on an impressive performance. Natalia Maliszewska, Gabriela Topolska, Lukasz Kuczynski and Diane Sellier displayed their skating prowess in the quarterfinals, beating out the South Korean team and advancing to the semifinals alongside the United States. Mazur, Topolska, Kuczynski and Sellier all competed in the semis.

Mazur, Stormowska, Kuczynski and Niewinski entered the decisive Saturday run. They performed brilliantly. The Poles were overtaken only by the Dutch, who took gold, and the Canadians, who won silver.

“We got the bronze! Dear friends, big congratulations! What a thrill! Pride!”

the Polish Speed Skating Association wrote on Twitter.
