We would like to invite you to a patriotic ceremony on 4 March (Saturday) at 2 p.m. in Warsaw on Wojska Polskiego Avenue at the junction of Bitwy Pod Rokitną Street by the monument to Witold Pilecki. The ceremony is dedicated to the Cursed Soldiers.
There will be a presentation of Witold Pilecki’s figure by Dr Adam Bulawa, a military historian. Wreaths will be placed and memorial candles lit at the monument.
The ceremony will be followed by a memorial concert to honour the memory of cursed soldiers by Tolk Jablonski. Later, there will be a screening of the documentary film “Grupa Pileckiego” at the Amicus Pilgrim’s House on Hozjusza 2 Street by the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
Witold Pilecki (13 May 1901 – 25 May 1948) was a Polish World War II cavalry officer, intelligence agent, and resistance leader.
