Sejm majority backs away from controversial bill on wind turbines

The district prosecutor’s office in Warsaw wants to determine when it happened and who influenced the decision to include a reduction to 300-metres of the minimum distance between wind turbines and residential buildings, a plan to expropriate land for their construction, and other provisions that outraged public opinion contained in the draft of the so-called wind farm law. The actual purpose of the act was to reduce energy prices next year. £ukasz ¯muda has more.
