The Interactive Center for Fairy Tales and Animation OKO has opened its doors, offering a multimedia history lesson for children and a nostalgic return to childhood cartoons for parents and grandparents. This unique combination of a modern museum and amusement park is located next to the historic Roth Villa, which has housed the Studio of Animated Films in Bielsko-Biała since the late 1940s.
A Multimedia Journey Through Animation History
The project, funded by the Norwegian Funds, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the City of Bielsko-Biała, cost approximately 41 million PLN. The center features an extensive multimedia exhibition on two floors, showcasing the creative legacy of the Studio of Animated Films and the animation production process.
Activities and Attractions for All Ages
The center includes a cinema hall and an amphitheater, with a variety of activities planned for the opening weekend. These include the premiere of “Kocia Szajka i zaginione bajki” by Agata Romaniuk, film workshops, treasure hunts, and concerts. The Studio of Animated Films, founded in 1947, has produced over a thousand films, including beloved classics like “Bolek and Lolek” and “Reksio.”
