Tour de Pologne 2024: A Star-Studded Lineup in Wrocław

The 81st edition of the Tour de Pologne kicks off in Wrocław with a lineup that promises high excitement. Among the top stars is Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard, a two-time Tour de France champion. Vingegaard, who made history with his epic battles against Tadej Pogacar, chose to skip the Paris Olympics to race in Poland. Fresh from competing in the Clasica San Sebastian, he is set to light up the Polish roads.

    Majka Returns with Polish Pride

Polish fans will have their eyes on Rafał Majka, who has a strong history at the Tour de Pologne. With a victory in 2014 and a podium finish in 2017, Majka treats this race with utmost importance. After winning a stage in Duszniki-Zdrój last year, he aims for a strong overall performance once again.

The race will visit several cities, with Kraków hosting the final stage on August 18. The most challenging segment will be the sixth stage, featuring tough climbs in Bukowina Tatrzańska. According to race director Czesław Lang, this stage could be a game-changer.

The race begins on Monday at 12:25 PM from Wrocław’s Hala Stulecia. The 156-kilometer stage includes sprint bonuses in Sobótka and Czarny Bór, and mountain bonuses on the Tąpadła and Kowarska passes. Cyclists are expected to cross the finish line around 4:30 PM.
