PZU Pays Over PLN 111 Million to Flood Victims

PZU disbursed over PLN 111 million to flood victims in Lower Silesia, providing rapid assistance and essential community support.

PZU, Poland’s largest insurer, has efficiently handled flood-related claims in Lower Silesia. This prompt action allows affected customers to rebuild their properties and recover lost belongings.

    Mobile Offices and Rapid Payouts

Even before the flood hit on September 13, PZU increased its helpline staff and deployed mobile offices. These units arrived in hard-hit areas, processing claims and distributing payouts as early as September 15. Within a week and a half, PZU had processed 70% of claims, disbursing over PLN 111 million.

    Supporting Local Communities

Beyond insurance, PZU established a PLN 24 million fund to assist local governments, fire departments, and rescue services. The fund covers essential equipment, including pumps and medical supplies. Additionally, PZU Health has offered free medical aid, vaccinations, and psychological support to flood victims.
